Is my Ecrou bracelet too small? And how to take off?

Hi!

I got my Ecrou recently, and it's a size 16 (same as my JUC, which feels comfortable). Maybe it's because I just started wearing it, but It feels on the small side. My SA said it should be the same size as my JUC. It doesn't feel like it slides down my arm far enough maybe. But I'll wear it around the house more to see how it feels. Pics for reference.

Also, any tricks for getting it off? I can't for the life of me take it off on my own. And I even watched the Cartier how-to video.

Oh dear, it definitely looks on the smaller side to me. It may be that the screw nuts are taking up more space compared to the head of the JUC.
On taking it off, I don’t have an ecrou so I don’t know, :confused1: , sorry.

But when you’re able to take it off, maybe go and try a size up? I’d personally go a size up.

good luck and hope it works out!

I thought the JUC runs a size smaller than other Cartier bracelets. MY JUC is a 16, while my love is a 17. I don't have the ecrou but I've tried on and I needed the 17.

My Ecrou is the same size as my Love. I’ve measured the inner circumference, and my 17 is 16.5cm. I couldn’t have worn a size 16 in Ecrou because it would have likely been 15.5cm which is the exact circumference of my wrist. It looks beautiful with your JUC though. Finding the little button to release the clasp is tricky. Once you do it a couple of times, it becomes so easy. Good luck!

Update: I did get it off! I was pulling on the wrong part of the bracelet. D'oh.

It feels uncomfortable on still. I'm just worried if I do decide to stack with a JUC, it might get scratched or scratch the JUC?

Whew! Glad you got it off!

So, I think your SA may have wanted you to get a snugger fit for the Ecrou so that it would not move much and hit your JUC.

However, in my personal experience, anything that is uncomfortable to wear is something I eventually not reach for and just wastes money and space at the end of the day.

I understand you don’t want your lovely pieces to get scratched up. However, all fine jewelry gets scratched eventually. Most scratched are relatively minor, unless you’re doing a lot of physical movement like tennis.

If you go to the store to try the bigger size, try it with your JUC and see how they move around on your wrist. If they don’t hit too hard for your tolerance, I think sizing up may be better. (Especially when we swell up in the Summer or after eating salty food).

At this point it really depends on your preference and what you’re willing to tolerate I guess. But go with what makes you happy!!
