Is my Chanel purse from London infested with termites??? Please help!!

Hi ladies, please help!! I purchased a Chanel coin purse in carviar gold HW from Chanel London bond street back in June 2019 during my holidays. I started to notice tiny white insects (around 0.01-0.02cm big) in the Chanel box and Chanel coin purse and I have been cleaning (scotch-taping out these bugs) and airing the coin purse mulitple times over the year. But these tiny white insects are slowly spreading over to my other bags. I am worried that they will infest all of my Chanel bags and wood furnitures as well. All of my Chanels purchased from other countries and my home country do not have this problem. I am from a developed and extremely clean city where there are rarely any insects so please forgive me for my lack of knowledge in commonly found insects (though I have encountered ants, centipedes and butterflies before). This is my first time seeing these bugs, did some research and they look like termites but I wasn’t aware that termites eat leather. I have no idea what exactly are these bugs and how to eliminate them. I am so upset but I don’t know how what to do. Termites aren't something Europe had to deal with, I think 10 years ago or so, they were brought to Europe by accident from the US, but they tend to prefer warmer climates and I read they hate strong smelling essential oils. I would grab all the bags where you suspect they are and put them in a sealed container with a few pieces of cedarwood.
From everything I know about them (which isn't much) they seem to be extremely destructive, they destroy houses, so if those insects are termites, I think they would have eaten the cardboard box already.

Maybe there are specialists for insects in your country? I would approach them and pest controllers to get an informed reply from them.

Essential Oils That Do Affect Termites

Clemson University scientists found that termites are repelled by cedarwood, geranium and tea tree oil. Clausen and Wang report that other studies have found that clove bud, cinnamon and garlic oils may repel or kill termites.

Do you have plants in the affected rooms/areas? Not necessarily these were "imported" with the Chanel coin purse.

Probably some sort of mites/whiteflies, not necessarily Termites.

Easiest remedy/solution: Call a pest controller. They will know what they are and how to get rid of them once and for all.

That does kind of look like termites. Or do you think it’s moth larvae? My friend said she found moth larvae on her dust bags. They were eating her dust bags.

i do think it looks like termites/white ants and more worried with your wooden furniture than the leather. it could consume the whole house in no time. my suggestion is since i've dealt with them, call an expert, determine the source and completely take away/replace the wooden furniture from that source (the initial furniture consumed normally are in contact with the ground as their lair). in the meantime, you could place the bags in plastic containers as termites aren't susceptible with plastics BUT just for the meanwhile as it could disrupt the leather

did you store them in their paperbox? because termites would be attracted to consume the box hence, they end up in your bags
