I think this is a personal style issues. The Happy Sport Oval is very different from the Cartier and Rolex, but all are really high-quality watches. I personally prefer the Balloon Bleu of the three options you presented, but since the Chopard makes your heart sing, that's what you should choose!

I looove chopard floating diamonds, but personally I'd get their happy diamond pendants so the light can shine through better. for a watch I'd prefer cartier/rolex.

all said, I still agree with the ladies above me--get what YOU love, not what your friends love! your purchases should be to make yourself happy, not to make your friends jealous (though of course a little envy does help your personal happiness in some cases, I'm sure! ;)). the chopard watch IS lovely, the straps are much more feminine than the metal of the other brands imo. so, just try them all on and go with that fits you!

Chopard is expensive but in Asia it is not highly in demand compared to Rolex due to resale value, I guess. Moreover the discounts that you can get for Chopard over here is quite ridiculous, 30-35%, which makes buyer wonder what's the real value of its watches. I think this is the reason why buyers are still gravitating around Rolex.

Whatever it is, buy something you like after considering all opinions.....that's my best advice.

Get what you love and don't worry about the opinions of other people. It's your money and your watch.

I like in order: Chopard, Cartier and then Rolex. I just don't know what the big deal is about the Rolex.

If you want watch making history + luxury = Rolex and other "watch only" brands with their own in house movement.

If you want luxury + relates jewelry = Cartier / Chopard.

I have a chopard happy diamonds square watch face (5 diamonds) and I love it. I think it can be dressed up or down. I love it.

Like other posters, I say - go with the one that you love and not what your friends like.

I can guarantee watching those little diamonds spin inside the chopard watch NEVER gets boring! :-)

Cartier, Chopard and Rolex are ALL high end watches. So, it really comes down to your personal preference and which one you look forward to putting on and looking at on a regular basis.

I love the Chopard watch you posted, it's very beautiful.

I have the Cartier Tank Francaise with diamonds, and I just bought a Chopard Happy Sport. The next one on my list will be a Rolex.

I bought the Cartier because it is a gorgeous, dressy watch. I will buy a Rolex because it's a classic, and because I feel like I should own one someday. Both of these involve some sense of practicality.

However, I bought the Chopard not just because it's unusual, but because it makes my heart sing, and it makes me smile every single time I look at it. And that's the one that I love the most, no matter what anyone else says. ;)

Get the one you love, except if you are significantly concerned about resale value. If you are concerned about that, the Chopard will decline more than the other brands. If you're okay with that, go forth. I think Chopard watches are really great-looking, and a welcome change from what so many other people wear.

Get what you love as others have posted, it is only important what YOU think, since you are wearing it and paying for it. I like Chopard but not really a fan of leather band watches. Look at and consider all the options and then decide on what makes your heart sing.
