Hey Ladies,

Are you all buying any evening purses right now given COVID? I don't have a lot of dressier purses and am wanting to buy 1 (and unfortunately only 1) new bag right now but I'm thinking maybe hold off til this craziness ends and I can actually go out. Thoughts?

Are you talking about trying a bag out in a store or something else? I love shopping now because it takes my mind of things and my taste is pretty solid. If I see a bag that speaks to me now, that won't be less desired when the world will turn to normal again.

I buy bags because I see the pretty thing, want to own the pretty thing and wear it from then on. I don't buy for a special occasion so I wouldn't wait just because I couldn't wear it right now. That is not my reason to buy.

Why not? I bought the LV Felicie in black empreinte to use for when I have date nights or conferences. You won't use it now, but you will later? If you see one you love get it. Due to COVID you now have the option to be very picky. And like someone mentioned above, maybe even find a great deal because economy is low.

If I can get a good deal or HTF item then it’s worth it for me imo. For example I finally pulled the trigger on a Polene bag because they are offering free shipping during the confinement period. And if you choose to receive your bag after the confinement period you get free gift. I hate paying for shipping so that was the final push I needed.

So if I can get a good deal (and get around shipping) I am purchasing atm

Yes, it’s not the time to buy dressier things as everybody is staying home.
And even after the lock down eases it will take a while until things ho back to normal .

I browse online but do not intend to buy anything unnecessary or luxury soon

Yes, this was my thought process. And it just sucks when you can't buy more than one bag this year. I have to kind of rationalize it more. I don't expect things to get back to normal anytime soon and friend cancelled her May wedding- so non-dressy bag it is!
