Is it true that buying Chanel is cheaper in France?

A friend of mine told me that it is much cheaper to purchase a Chanel in France. I'm curious because I will be going on my honeymoon this summer to Paris for a few weeks and wanted to see if it really is cheaper.

Anyone know???

Yes, especially with the VAT refund. It is about 20%-30% cheaper than the US

Make sure you make a list of your choices! A lot of the time they run out! And also the main store Rue Cambon store, and the department store Lafayatte is the LEAST likely that they will have what you want (not saying don't try your luck, just mentally prepare yourself and don't give up!) due to all the tourists going there first.

Also they tell you that they give you around 11% tax back (take that OFF of the sticker price, the tax is included there already!) And they limit you, 1 bag 1 passport, 1 country, for 2 months i believe. So if you're going with a bf or someone you can use up his quota!

So if you are going to Italy, thats another country! If you buy a Chanel bag in italy it doesn't count towards your France quota =) And it's all the same prices, because it's all in Euros. London is completely overpriced
