Hi ladies

I went to HW and inquired about this square emerald cut shape ring (See below) but their price is kinda outragerous. I want a 2-3 carat ones. I looked at other websites that sell loose diamond, the asscher shape. They dont come anything close to what i saw in the store because the rings don't show any many "steps". is there another way that i could get some similar without buying it at HW?

I am not sure if it is because this Hw ring is around 20 carats so it shows more steps than rings that are only 3 carats or less?

There are jewelers who might replicate the ring part, but it's a violation of their copyright to have it copied identically.

As for the asscher, as far as I know, HW does not have a patented asscher cut that they use, so I think the amount of steps is definitely related to the size of the stone.

If you want to see a SUPER faceted Asscher, check out an Octavia. The only seller of those is Goodoldgold.com and they are RIDICULOUSLY neat.

Absolutely my pleasure! I have seen the Octavia in person and it is TO DIE FOR. If they were more plentiful when I was up there to buy my new e-ring I would've had one of those instead of a round for sure. Love it.

The Royal Asscher branded Asscher cut also has an extra 18 facets over another square cut emerald. I'm not going to lie, any branded stone will be more expensive than a non-branded stone but I don't think the RA is as expensive as HW (super expensive).
