Is it normal for a reissue to look so worn brand new?

I went to the Chanel boutique and they had one last caviar reissue. It's the display item. But it looks worn. There were creases on the bottom and the SA said it he bag comes squished flat. And the inside flap was a little worn. Is this normal?

Well you didn't picture the bottom, but yes they do come folded flat, so there will be a crease. However, the crease you pictured on the inner flap looks like it got a little squished, or could be from handling since you said it's a display.

Boutiques often store the chains pulled inside the bag on one side, so you'll see those kinds of "dents" on one side.

I would not be okay with that crease in the inner flap, i have a caviar reissue and it was perfect. The caviar reissue that i got also didn't come folded, i thought only the aged calfskin did? Maybe it depends

I hate to buy the display item but sometimes it's the only option! Sigh
