Is it difficult to hold Toile bags clean ?

I mean leatherbags you can clean with a damp cloth but what to do with toile bags ?

I clean mine with a damp cloth.

From what I understand, they are treat by Hermes to withstand a certain amount of dirt.

I have dropped mine on a wet street before and Iwas really surprised when it just wiped clean with water later that day.
