Is it crazy to buy two different style bags from the Tian collection?

Hello Everyone, I'm considering purchasing another bag from the Tian collection, this collection is just my favorite. I already have the large padlock but I can't stop thinking and looking at the Boston bag version. Would it be crazy to get two bags from the same collection? I feel that they are two completely different styles and the Tian pattern is different on each one, but it is expensive and I already have one. I would appreciate any feedback! Thank you.

IMO, not crazy at all, but then I have 2 grey Bamboo Top-handles in the same size (different leathers and hw colour). That's 3 new BTH and bamboo shopper, 4 Horse-bit bags, 2 of the same model but different sizes/colours, 2 1973 bags and a whole range of Web and brown bags for travel ;)

Such a beautiful pattern, I say don't miss out

First off I'm so sorry about the blank post I was not replying properly! Thank you papertiger for your advise. I forgot to mention that beacuse the Tian is a capsule collection, when I finally decide I must have the Boston bag it would not be available. I am new to Gucci and I am not sure how long the smaller collections remain available. I just think this pattern is so beautiful in all styles. Each seems to be unique in how the pattern in placed. Well I think I am still going to continue to save up for this beautiful bag!

No problem
At Gucci all lines are finite unless they sell and keep selling (and even then seasonal colours may disappear quickly) so many bags are limited edition or a 'capsule collection' (albeit not always intentionally). Not even the SAs know what's continuing and what's up for the chop at the end of the season so my advice with all things Gucci is always to buy a love item sooner rather than wait.

Thank you papertiger for the explanation about capsule collections. You are always so helpful and knowledgeable. May I ask, do you think the Boston bag is to large for everyday use, I only carry a moderate amount of stuff and I am 5' 5" and 128 lbs.

I am having the same dilemma! I have the boston tian and now i want the tote.. I also thought the brown trimmed boston looked large for everyday, but I am only 5'2"... So I got the smaller version that Neiman has, the one with the red trim and its been the right size for me for everyday use, hth!

Not for me and I'm a similar height. The med (brown trim) is 14" and for me would be the most useful size but if you want a more fashionable handbag size maybe try the Small like Tammy's (red trim) which is 11".

I just bought the tian padlock bag and bought a blooms card case to go with it.....I also saw a version with the silver hardware.....I think if you like the design there is nothing wrong with having more than one bag..I did see that Boston bag and it's beautiful..I almost considered it too but really like the Dionysus style so I was going to try that instead since many of my LV bags are speedy style.....

The tote is beautiful and completely different from your Boston bag. I'm not sure if buying myself the Boston version is silly because I have the padlock. It's two handbags rather then a bag and tote like you are considering. Although the padlock is smaller and I use it for more dressed up occasions and I would like the Boston for everyday use.

Which size padlock did you purchase? I agree the Boston version is beautiful! I really think the whole line is so unique like wearable works of art. After reading the remarks here I feel better about wanting to add the Boston to my little collection.

When I love a bag, I often purchase it in more than one color. If you love it, go for it!

It is a beautiful range, I have the tote with the red handle. I do like the handbag too. There is also a heavier weight scarf for autumn / winter that I'm going to get. I say if it makes you happy, go for it!!

The tote with red trim is stunning! If you are describing the square scarf with red border trim, I have that on my wish list as well! I think it is beautiful and functional. Well, with each remark I read from you awesome ladies I feel better about purchasing the Boston. Thank you

I got the silk scarf with the red trim to go with my bag. But they have a new one out in the men's accessories. It's wool and silk, 140 X 140 cms nice as a wrap! it's not a mans scarf! It's lush and I'm getting it for the colder weather! https://www.gucci.com/uk/en_gb/pr/m...en/Mens-Accessories/Mens-Scarves/Mens-Scarves
