So,after reading on TPF last night that the Sully is possibly going to be released is Damier ebene in the fall ,I checked out the website to see how much the sully ( larger size) is going for in mono. I was shocked to see it was over $1400.
Is it worth that price tag ?
I feel bags like the artsy are worth that.
And why would I pay that price when I can get a mon mono GM Neverfull for less than that.
Any input from Sully owners is appreciated !
Thanks !

IMO I don't like the Sully and wouldn't pay that much for it. It seems very plain and when I tried it on, the double zipper drove me crazy! I really hope they come out with a different DE shoulder bag! An Artsy would be FABULOUS!!!

I just told DH this last night .That i would definately buy the Artsy in ebene. But then in the same breathe I told him can you imagine the handle issues they might have with the braided handle.
Its a wait and see . I would love the totally or a reissue of the cabas mezzo ( the large one ) in ebene.

The Sully is NOT going to be released in DE. LV is bringing out a hobo style bag in the style of the Sully with a release date in September. It's in the fall look book so check it out at your local LV boutique.

That's what I was thinking. I want an ebene tote bag and after getting a damaged Neverfull GM and returning it ,I'm at a loss. They're all so pricey . I wasn't wanting to spend more than $1200 so...

Hi Specme,

I remember you were on your way to get your NF.. It was damaged? Oh no! What was wrong with it? That's why I haven't purchased the ebene nf.. I'm nervous it will have issues..

I do LOVE my Sully!! Yes, the price does seem a bit high for it, but for me I love it. I would prefer it over a NF tote style bag. It looks really pretty on and I think with the gold hardware it looks a bit more dressy than the Delightful (which I also like, but just looks more casual to me).

Yes, what was wrong with your Neverfull, specme? I just purchased one last week... I've yet to use it, but I'm feeling a bit paranoid about the peeling/cracking issues I've seen over and over again at tPF. After much deliberation I decided to take the plunge anyway but it's still at the back of my mind.

I got the Neverfull , had it 3 weeks, used it about 5-7 times and while shopping I took the strap off my shoulder and saw that the leaf ( that is attached to the bag and the straps) was ripping away from the bag itself. At closer inspection, this was happening 3 out of the 4 leafs. When I brought it in ( I got the bag around March 17 and I notices this the day before Easter.) the SA I dealt with couldn't have been more nicer. He even offered a refund even though it was after the 14 day return period. I decided to get a gift card for the amount and wait for a bag I like to come out. Hopefully that'll be I'm the fall !

I didn't see you asked this until after I replied to another poster,so look above this post and you can read what happened. But it had nothing to do with the cracking of the straps.
