Is heat stamping forever?

Hi, this may sound like a silly question....I've never had anything heat stamped before. I'm looking at a pre-loved Fuchsia Perforated Musette that has a heat stamp on the closure flap. I'm guessing that at worst I can probably have the piece of vachetta replaced? Help!!!

I think I read up on this when I was looking at a preloved bag with heat stamping. From my research, it is forever. The color part will wipe off but the imprint will remain.

Thanks, that was my thought too but I thought I would throw it out there. I'm going to LV tomorrow to see if the vachetta piece can be replaced. Fortunately, it is just a flap closure.

Not if it's on a wallet! Yes, the impressions will remain, but my gold-stamped Curieuse wallet lost some color from the stamping within the first few weeks. I was not happy, but there's nothing they can do. I am extremely careful with my LV items, but since it was on the underside of the flap, I think it rubbed against the cards in the slots.

I did not get my second Curieuse stamped for that reason.

I'll add that the stamping on both of my Neverfull bags has remained 100% intact. Again though, an exterior personalization rubbing up against something from time to time is very different than a wallet flap rubbing against cards.

Ok, so I took the leap and bought the heat stamped Perfo Musette in fuchsia. I love this bag, the condition is perfect! I decided the LS will stand for Little Sissy, our nickname for one of our dogs! It's perfect!

I've gotten my key holder done but just bought a new Insolite wallet and as much as I like heat stamping think I won't get it done on my mc insolite just in case I decide to sell it one day I never sell my items but I might grow out of mc as I get older
