Is Graff Laurence Signature wedding band (2.3mm) too feminine for a man?

My partner has never worn rings and thought he wanted something 4mm+ because that's what most men have as their wedding band nowadays.

However we want to try Graff Laurence Signature bands on and he felt the 3.2mm was too thick, and actually ended up liking the 2.3mm. I've also seen many posts online where people say anything under 3mm is not nice for men because they're too feminine. He has relatively small hands and his ring finger is 6.5...

I've attached a photo. I personally think it looks good! Do you think it looks too feminine?

I think this looks great. For me, when choosing a ring that will be worn every day, it's all about comfort and narrow bands really win in this category. I can't recall the name but, my local jeweler offers a comfort fit band that is rounded on the inside. If he feels pressure to try a thicker band, it might be worth asking about.

Thank you!! I personally thought it looks nice too...? But everyone who posted before you in this thread agree with my internet research that men should have thicker bands :frown: I think ultimately he'll end up with whatever he's comfortable with. Even with this Graff band, he wasn't that into it comfort-wise but the longer he kept it on in the store, the more he liked it... so I think we just need to keep trying more.

This is the first we've tried on so we'll be on the lookout for a band with a rounded inside!

It's funny because I also considered buying the Laurence ring but I felt that the widths of both bands were off. I felt that the 3.2mm felt too thick and the 2.3mm felt too thin. I would have loved to somethin in between.

I suppose the good thing about a thin band, is that it is comfortable, more flexible with size changing (whether it is due to temperature or change in body weight), and it is better for stacking.

A thicker band has a more substantial look and feel but that's just a matter of personal preference.

Would your partner consider ring stacking in the future or would just like a singular band?
My husband never thought he would ring stack on top of his wedding band, but he did end up doing it because his wedding band got too loose (didn't want to repurchase a smaller size even though I offered) and just ended up stacking another ring on top (which was actually my David Yurman ring that became too big for me).

So true, I wish they had more options! Even platinum or a brushed metal. They did mention they can do yellow gold custom.

At this point I don't think he would want to stack bands, he already feels 1 ring is uncomfortable enough :panic:

If anyone has any similar bands (plain with a little bit of oomph, not too thick), please send them my way!

I can’t find it online, but my husband had a similar band in 4mm 18k yellow gold. He got it from Brilliant Earth, which has many textured men’s styles and will do custom width.
