I have browsed the internet and have not seen much conversation about the actual feel of a nose after a rhinoplasty.
The only reason I'm considering a revision rhinoplasty is to improve the stiffness of my nose. I got a septoplasty 4 years ago to fix my deviated septum. Little did I know that the tip of my nose would be strengthened and supported by some additional grafts or cartilage. This wasn't communicated clearly by the doctor. Yes, my breathing has improved but the doctor told me that my nose will regain most of the feel and softness after a year or two. Clearly it didn't and it won't. My nose is still very hard.
Honestly wondering, is that normal? If yes, is everyone really willing to make that tradeoff to improve the appearance but having a rock hard nose? I want to be able to squish it, bend it, wiggle it like it used to be. If I knew that even a simple septoplasty would change the way my nose feels, then I would've lived with it. Because I'm going crazy with this stiff thing on my face.
