Hello TPFers -
I joined a long time ago but took a long ban for the betterment of my finances! My bank account has thanked me. I've dabbled here and there along the years and recently started shopping on Fashionphile so i can share may recent experiences.
A very recent issue I have had is over a LV Montaigne Empreinte Noir bag that they have listed on their site that has a "Quality control issue with foil color" for date code. I called and customer service rep said the date code is stamped in silver instead of gold. However, they said this can happen (it is a quality miss on LV's part) and the bag is authentic.
Does that sound at all strange? Has anyone ever come across this? I have not in all these years of purchasing/browsing/forum reading. I posted in the Authenticate this thread, but it is also just a general question. It sounds odd to me and I thought if any part of an LV bag was not perfect, they would not sell it?
Many thanks for your help as I re-enter this forum!
