Is a Birkin proper for men?

Hi Ladies, my wives own some kelly and birkins in 32-35 sizes. I pretty much like the birkin style and am wondering if I can buy a 40 birkin say marron in color for my own daily office use. Will a birkin for men be ridiculous? Thanks for your inputs.
