Its really difficult to locate a orange togo leather birkin in my area, a local boutique managed to find me one in Europe but is charging 17000 CAD for it. Should I buy it from her? (I know for sure it is authentic) Or should I just wait for Hermes Store?

Thank you!

That's really pricey for a 30. Orange birkins aren't as hard to locate in stores. It's consider one of the standard colors.

Yes, I know. But from what I have heard, since I have never shopped at Hermes before, I do have to wait fairly long. 17000 just seems a bit to extreme for me,especially since its so basic..but i can get it immediately with no wait

My sister just scored an orange 35 togo birkin and she had been placed on the wishlist for only a few months. She had just bought a belt and bracelet in that period.

Yes, that price is WAAAY to high...You will get one, almost all Canadian stores are very unpretentious and friendly (especially Toronto, Montreal and Calgary). If you contact them and make yourself known you may be surprised with what you get....just saying....

Yikes, double the price..insane. WAIT:)

There are only 4 boutiques in Canada with a population of 30 million. I was at Hermes in Toronto last weekend and the shelves were so bare. There was a waiting list for for SLG including CDCs, wallets of any kind, belts etc. I wanted to purchase something to "build my relationship" with a SA but there was nothing I could spend my money on. I am also thinking of buying from a Canadian reseller at a premium even for a standard colour B. $17,000 CAD is on par with other Canadian resellers for a new B, once you factor in the 13% tax.

If you love the colour size, colour, leather and hw combination, then go for it. You are also paying for piece of mind knowing that it will be coming from a reputable reseller.

I would not buy it...its not worth it, unless you feel that strongly about getting one at any price of course. I paid quite a few thousand dollars less for mine. Call all the Canadian Hermes stores and tell them whats going on. The SA's are really amazing, unpretentious and very friendly. You may be very pleasantly surprised.

I personally would spend all that extra money on other H items that you love (belt, shoes, bracelets...) to establish a relationship and then you can surely get your birkin quickly! Or simply do what others have suggested and wait. It may be a few months, but for me at least, several thousand dollars savings for the exact same bag is worth it!

It's too high!
I've been offered orange B for a few times during the period of 2 years.
There was a chance to buy it at Toronto and Montreal H boutiques. Also, my DH could buy for me orange B when he was in Calgary on a business trip. I came to the decision that orange B is not a rare colour unlike red one.
Honestly, I would buy orange if I have not yet owned a yellow one by that time.
I strongly advise you to establish your relations with the SA from any of local Canadian stores and wait for your luck unless you can make 17,000.00 CAD in one day:-) then buy it.
