Oh please...she's simply saying that her friend, has changed from being one way to talking ebonics and acting ghetto and mean to her bf. It just so happens that it happened while she was dating a black guy. She's associating being ghetto with her friend, not the black guy.

Give me a BREAK. All she had to say was that her friend started speaking in a different manner. The implication was that because she was dating a black man, the change in speech was ghetto. There's no need to try and sugarcoat or act like anyone is being too sensitive.

And by the way, I don't remember anyone saying anything about ebonics. And it is well known that ebonics are considered slang terms used mainly by black individuals, so you just put your foot in your mouth as well.
