I sell only high end items, most over $500.00 but UPS and FEDEX will only insure international shipments for a maximum of $500.00. How do most of you ship when you are selling higher end items internationally?

I ship primarily USPS Global Express Mail. Insurance maximums vary by location but many have an insurance allowance up to $5,000. Hope this helps.

As well, I only use USPS Global. Besides the plus of being able to get insurance up to $5k, it's usually less expensive then other methods.

I would also recommend using USPS Global express mail. As others have mentioned, the insurance maximum depends on the country, but most places you can insure much more than $500. Also, USPS does not charge the high broker fees some of the other couriers do.
