Hi, it sounds like a money order is often accepted from international buyers. Can someone please let me know how to instruct a buyer to send a money order? Do I tell them to use Western Union or are there other companies? Where do they go to get them? Is it the same as here in the US? Also, does anyone know how long mail takes from Asia to the US? Thanks!

Hello, I'm in Asia. For EMS from Asia to USA, it'll take 5-7 days to arrive but for Registered Mail, it's sooo horrible..! It'll take over 4 weeks even more and you can't track your item.

If you're a seller, don't accept WU money transfer, they have quite low currency for receiver and charge your sender with really high currency & fees, too.

For example, I ever received money by WU money transfer from East Europe. The selling amount around $150 but I only receive around $125. It depend on how much you'll receive. Bigger amount it mean you'll get bigger charge, too...

My country has no MO, only WU money transfer.

Thanks for the help but I was planning to ask for a Western Union money order rather than a wire transfer. Wouldn't the buyer make the money order out for the US dollar amount?

ooh you mean WU MO? Sorry,I thought WU money transfer :shame: I think WU MO similiar with BidPay, right? All international buyers could send WU MO in USD but thought they've to sign-up first.

Yes, the amount you receive is set, and the fees are paid by the buyer, so it shouldn't be a problem for you. WU could be a problem for the buyer, as there is no buyers protection with WU, so some buyers will not use it.

Is there another service that offers more protection?
