I've been looking for a small wallet on chain type of bag. I think the LV felicie pochette is probably the one that would work best for me but it was out of stock in damier ebene which was what I really wanted. I've been checking out the pre-loved sites for the bag but most of them are selling this bag for above retail, which is understandable for an out of stock, in demand item.

Last night I happened to be checking out the LV site and noticed that this bag was now in stock. But when I tried to check out after it let me put it in my cart, I got an error message. And then when I refreshed the page the bag was showing as out of stock. A bit later it showed in stock again and again I was able to add it to my cart but not check out with it.

I setup the "notify me when this becomes available alert" last night. But before I even checked my email this morning I checked the site and the bag was back in stock and this time it let me check out and I have a confirmed order number. I later checked my email and saw that I had received an email at 9 am letting me know the bag was back in stock. My order confirmation email is timestamped at 9:35 am so it was at least 30 minutes after I got the in stock email before I went through checkout.

So I wonder if last night the bag was coming back into stock due to returns and it was being bought by someone else before I could get through the checkout process and then the same thing happened today and I just happened to catch it at the right time. Or was what I experienced last night a sign that they were getting ready to re-stock it?

The bag is once again showing as out of stock so it is possible I just lucked out and happened to pick up a return this morning when I wasn't able to pick up different returns being re-stocked last night. But it was a curious experience.

Happened to me too for a lot of LV hot items. I would stalk the website at certain times and keep refreshing it. If I am lucky it will be in stock and I can add to cart and check out otherwise will have to keep refreshing it. I think I got lucky when people didnt check out fast enough or changed their minds. If you want anything else, I would recommend creating your account, adding items to your wishlist and saving a credit card on file in their account. Congrats on your purchase!

A lot of times, I think they just limit the number of quantity for each restock throughout the day. It may show as In Stock and you could Add To Bag but when you try to check out, it shows as Out of Stock or some other error message. Usually that just means someone else check out before you could and that's why you could not pay for it. I've personally experienced this multiple times.

As mentioned earlier, LV restocks their website throughout the day. Some items gets replenished multiple times a day. Some items only gets a restock every now and then. For example, Monogram Petit Sac Plat gets restocked multiple times a day but the Envelope Business Cardholder that I want only gets restocked every few weeks and when it happens, it is only that one time until the next restock.

With the Back In Stock notification, I don't really rely on that much because sometimes it's delayed or sometimes you don't get one at all. I usually just keep checking the website diligently

Unfortunately, you may need to stalk. It took me a few days of refreshing to order the Mono LV Felicie back in the Summer. I find around 12:30-2:00AM EST is when things have popped back in stock for me (luckily, I'm a nightowl )

I'm curious about whether the website would enforce purchasing limits. With some of these out of stock bags, I might want to buy it without knowing for sure that it will work for me if I happen to catch it in stock. So the likelihood of a return could be higher simply because I don't want to miss my chance to buy it. And if I end up returning a few bags because of this will the website then prevent me from purchasing new bags?

This is what is shared with me so please don't hold it against me if it is inaccurate. From what I was told, returns are still counted towards the purchase limit and the purchase limit covers both in-store and online purchases. I have stuff I want to buy but I know I've 12 leather/canvas bags and SLGs on my name now so I just had to not buy anything.

In general, your online orders may go through but if you have hit the limit, they will just cancel your order subsequent to you receiving an order confirmation.
