I had an interesting experience yesterday at the Monaco store... I went in to quiz them about placing a SO for a 30 swift Thalassa and generally enquire about what they had coming in in the next few months and how their lists worked etc.
For once I actually had a pleasant experience in that store as the staff there were previously extremly snobby.... perhaps it was because I had my baby daughter with me and the SA was very fond of babies?!
Anyway, we spent approx 30mins talking about where I could locate my Thalassa and the items they had coming in, which is a lot BTW, he had a folder with about 12-15 pages(approx 6 items per page) of birkins due to come in in the next 8 months. From what I could see only about 20% had been reserved(were hi-lighted and had a name & tel by them). I said I would like to reserve the 30 swift rouge H, he was happy to oblige and took all my details. We talked some more and as he saw how much baby junk I had in my 35 etoupe, he suggested I may be interested in a 35 rouge h instead of waiting for the 30 as he had it in stock. He went on to mention that he also had a Gris clemence and something else in Graphite, all in 35 and all also in stock. Great news for anyone looking for any of the above!!!
Now, saying this, while I was there, two sets of customers came in enquiring about birkins and waiting lists, one was an american family, the other were two russian ladies. Both customers were told that they did not have any birkins in stock, were not taking any orders at the time and told to come back in January as they may be taking orders again by then.
I found this very peculiar, why would they do that? Bare in mind, I am not a regular customer of this store.
Any thoughts?
