I also rip the wrapping paper off gifts... there's no delicate, polite unwrapping here... 
As for the bag... this is the Bagatelle from the Parnassea Collection. And this leather is AMAZING - buttery soft & smells divine. I carried her all day yesterday with no shoulder pain at all, which I feared from the Artsy forum since there are similarities. The bag carries beautifully and close to the body. I also tried on the Artsy in store, which is a bag I've always admired (I'm a hobo gal) and it seemed so big & bulky in comparison to the Bagatelle. The long strap is handy, too, but is too short for cross body on me (I'm 5'7"). Anyway here are a few pics taken today in my temp office at work...
