When you get them you just tear one off at a time making sure it fits to your nail first. But don't keep the clear plastic part on it, peel that off and take hold of the little silver tab and peel the paint right off the white backing. It's sticky on one side so just lay that side down on your nail and you just have to sorta stretch it to avoid ripples in the paint. They stretch alot none of mine tore from being stretched. Then you just use your fingernail to break off the overage. Presto!!

if one has short nails, like i do, is it possible to cut each strip in half so you can paint 2 nails for each strip? im a conserver LOL.

Do all you gals push back your cuticles before putting on polish?

you can try cutting it before removing it from the backing. I didn't think of that. But you would have to do it before you take it off the backing since it's sticky
