I was walking through the mall last week and noticed this as I walked past Bakers. Bakers has some alrite stuff, most of it is not really my style. I have noticed that in the past they copy alot of what other designers are doing. But lo and behold, how surprised I was when I saw these in the window the other day. They are direct copies of the Hamilton! :( $59+tax for pleather too! I'm not knocking on pleather bags, I have a few great ones, but this one is just fugly and a ripoff. Pretty much the only thing they changed was the lock. I saw the bag in real life, and I gotta say it. Our Hamiltons are WAY BETTER. Nothing compares with the real thing.

Notice how they named it "Bologna"!! That has got to be the worst name EVER.

Agreed, nothing like the real thing of a Hamilton. LOVE them!

We happened to notice this too a few weeks ago... actually DH said, those kinda look like MK's. I said yes, but they are fakes!

He was close, gotta give him credit for that! :D

I didn't get close to one nor pick one up. They didn't look that stellar but it was obvious what bag they are trying to imitate.

Hey, not everyone can afford ( fortunate enough) a Kors so if they like the style at least they have "inspired" options. I know people who can't even afford these Baker bag prices.

Bakers has some other cute bags on their site too.

Copy is the best form of flattery.


BTW The Hamilton is an inspired version of the Hermes bag, so it happens in all price brackets.

I agree with the similar style part. I mean, MK clearly took inspiration for the Hamilton from Hermes and Chloe. There are people who admire both of those premier designers who will also go for the Hamilton. However, I don't like how it is a direct copy of the Hamilton. I wish they had tried to put their own creative spin on it even if they are taking inspiration from the Hamilton.
