Every so often we'll come across a Bal inspired bag, I figure why not have a thread dedicated to them? The point of this thread is to post pics of things we find that you can tell are "bal inspired" it doesn't only have to be handbags it can be accessories, clothes, sunnies too. I know that nothing in fashon is original. This thread is meant to be fun/lighthearted not be derogatory or start some great debate on designer vs non-designers ect.

I will start it off with a bag I saw today at Macys by Big Budda

IMO their is no question that this bag was definitely inspired by Bal from the hardware, to the front pocket, to the mirror, the style also reminds me of Bals Sunday bag. I didn't even look inside it I wish I did just for fun.

thanks for the thread!
i too hope it doesn't get too nasty in here.

Here in Australia there are only a small handful of stores which stock authentic bal bags and its very rare to see them beautifully hanging off someone's shoulder.

Australian store Witchery have created many bal inspired bags.
this one was sourced from ebay.

other ones i've seen are black work like one too.

Gosh, wish I'd taken pic of the yucky imitation-weekender I saw some weeks ago. Will definitely snap pics if I see any Bal-inspired bags.

Thanks for starting this thread OP, this'll be fun.

I'm resurrecting this old thread, going threw pics on my phone I forgot I took some pics of a Bal city knock off I saw at TJMaxx a few months back. I was kind of taken back by how similar it was to Bal's city and this was at one of their runway locations(meaning that they carry high end designers normally not found in their stores). The straw one bothered me the most as they painted the hardware on it  The brand was called Nicole Lee and they were $40.
