Hey,

Got a hand me down off a family member, is an LV monochrome wallet, quite old I'm told (checked the serial number, says made in 93!!)

Expensive things like this generally don't make their way into my hands, but unfortunately the section where you put your notes in, the brown lining facing the card slots side has really started to wear away, bits of it rub off against pieces of paper and that when they are close by........ made me quite upset when I found this out!

Wondering if I can take this down to LV/cobbler to get it repaired and how much it might cost?

Thanks for your help !!

As long as the canvas is strong and there are no cracks in the canvas itself, LV will repair the wallet. I just had a checkbook cover reglazed along the edging and it was $47.00, picked it up a couple days ago. For a lining, it could run around $80 or more, but it might certainly be worth it. If there are cracks in the canvas, even tiny ones, LV will not attempt repairing it because they can not warrant repairs once the canvas has been compromised and one would have to go to a regular local leather shop in hopes they can help.

Just got back from the store, they said they can only replace the lining of one of the two sections where you hold notes (they say they can only replace up to 50%), will probably take it to a cobbler now or just save up and get a new one
