Now that I have a nice clean white top handle bag I'm wondering if I should use twillies to protect the handles especially since I tend to get sweaty.
If yes, do the twillies need to be totally white to avoid color transfer?
Where do you recommend I look for inexpensive twillies ( if on Amazon any particular seller)?
Don't think I want super slippery but something pretty and durable and easy to wash.
Thanks

You could buy some wide white petersham, wild silk or grosgrain ribbon from a haberdashery. Those won't be slippery, reasonably priced and should stay put.

You will probably find it easier to find off-white/cream/oyster etc, just because lots are used for wedding and confirmation dresses. Defiantly worth looking in wedding attire places too.

That is so smart! Edit I just realized we have a craft store here, they will likely have ribbon ( though it will likely be polyester, I hope that will be ok)

I just want to say, for an easier way/hack, wear white lace gloves in the summer and white leather ones when it turns cooler. I do this sometimes carrying H when I can't deal with twillies.

I’ve found nice silk twillies at Coach Outlet in the $50 range, or even cheaper on Etsy. NanaStore2018 has many colors and patterns in the $8-15 range called “silk ribbon straps”….I don’t know if they are real silk. But I’ve ordered several replacement bag straps from this store and always had positive experiences.

Hi again! Also just noticed that Aritzia is now selling silk scarves and their “twillies” are only $48 Cdn!
