Hi everyone! I'm very interested in the fitness tracking and other features of an Apple watch. I have not pulled the trigger thought. I love my "regular" watches (Rolex, Cartier, Michele, etc.) as well. For those that have purchased an Apple watch (or other smart watch), do you ever wear your regular watches? Or do you wear your smart watch only for certain occasions? Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Ha, I have three watches. Apple Watch, which I usually use for work (steps, meetings, calendar, call notifications), my Garmin 935 for serious working out, and I have a Jaeger I wear mostly for special occasions but I could wear it every day. Garmin and Apple sync through Apple Health so those talk to each other. Some days I feel techy and some days I feel old school. For me the variety is fun.

I got an Apple Watch a few years ago and I wear it exclusively. My Rolex sits unused in my jewelry box. I try to reach for it from time to time, but I just so prefer the ease of use of the Apple. I don’t have to have my phone nearby, which is the best reason. I do have a metal Apple band which helps a little. I do miss the beauty of my Rolex, but wish it was more functional.

I use my Apple Watch when I’m dressing down and it’s charged. I always forget to charge it. I work from home 4 days a weeks so I wear nothing on those days unless I go out to run errands. When I get dressed in cute clothes I grab my Rolex or Balloon Bleu.

I have an Apple Watch and wear it every day - I find it particularly useful at work. But I've seen a lot of Michele watches on other people and they look really pretty, so I've been eyeing one for myself.

I instruct spin classes so when I’m in my CycleStar gear I wear my Apple Watch. It helps me start class exactly on time which is important when the theatre is filled with 50 riders!
As soon as I get home, I take it off immediately and switch to my Omega or Dior Viii.
So for me, it’s strictly a workout watch.
I think a tech watch fulfills different things for each person and you will find what you use it for yourself!

I use my Apple Watch strictly for work and at the gym, which sadly is where I spend most of my time when I'm not at home (definitely a home body). When I do decide to go OUT other than the gym or work, I wear my Chanel J12.

I like wearing my Apple Watch at the gym since I can control my music/phone from it, and I like wearing it to work so I can read messages discreetly.

I wear my Apple Watch everywhere I go, I don't have any other expensive watch (yet, and haven't thought about needing one, maybe in the future). Mine is the stainless steel and I change bands depending where I go, sometimes Im just lazy and the same band goes to work, diner, grocery and basement gym.

I have seen someone recently wear both his Hermes Apple Watch with the orange sport band and his Rolex
One on each wrist.
Ha - that's great! I seriously am thinking about that. My nice watch is "jewelry" and an Apple watch would be more functional? Yes, I am trying to justify the Apple watch!

I have several watches (Rolex, JLC, Omega, Dior, LV) and Apple Watch.

I wear the Apple Watch when I have a few meetings scheduled for the day so that I get notified of incoming messages without the need to keep looking at my phone. Other work days I wear my LV or Omega.

On weekends I wear my other dressy watches when I go dates with my hubby. I wear my Apple Watch when I bring out my toddler as it does not scratch my toddler legs or thighs when I carry him.

To me, the Apple Watch is a very useful tool. Tracks my heart rate, informs me of new messages and is my alarm clock.

This is super helpful. I'm leaning towards purchasing an Apple Watch for certain situations like you and other posters have mentioned - working out, need quick notifications of emails/messages, etc. I am very curious to see how it monitors sleep patterns as well. Maybe I can pick up an older model (Series 3?) during Black Friday sales. I don't know if I need the latest Apple watch as it would be secondary watch and I am not utilize all the bells and whistles!

I think this is a great idea, just to see if you like it and if you’ll end up using it. For me, it’s the functionality I like. I can leave my phone in my office and walk around and get notifications on my Apple Watch. This is especially important for me as I sometimes get called from my kids daycare or school and need to be available. I often wear it also around the house so I can be alerted of messages and phone calls and also how lazy I’m being (it’ll tell me to stand up or do a brisk walk if I haven’t moved enough). I wish I could reach more for my nice watches but I just don’t. In fact I’m thinking of getting the Hermes Apple Watch next once this one dies (but it just doesn’t seem to and I have had mine for close to two years now with decent battery life). I didn’t know that the Apple Watch monitors sleep so I’ll have to look into that with the newer versions.

I wear my Apple Watch everyday as the main reason I bought it is for its falls alarm system, I have MS and it affects my balance. The alarm is meant to alert my partner if I don’t get up after a period of time
