In Style Magazine Presents: New York Fashion Week Day 2

  1. 1.
Maggie Gyllenhaal, Hilary Swank, Demi Moore and Clive Owen

The Miss Sixty show hit the jackpot with a front row line-up that included Maggie Gyllenhaal, Hilary Swank, Demi Moore and Clive Owen. "I'm only in New York for the day and wanted to check it out," said Gyllenhaal of the show, while at the W Hotel's VIP Lounge. When it comes to fashion, the actress prefers high-waist pants to fitted jeans. "I love that kind of '40s look, and thank god I was pregnant for that skinny jeans thing because those never worked for me!"

    5. Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum looked lovely at Badgley Mischka, wearing a perfectly plum frock by the designers. Allison Janney, Daisy Fuentes and shoe mogul Kenneth Cole were also among the boldface names in the front row.

    2. Wichy Hassan and Mischa Barton

Miss Sixty designer Wichy Hassan and a T-shirt-and-jeans-clad Mischa Barton met up backstage after the show. The actress—who's quickly becoming a fashion-week regular—recently rubbed elbows with Demi Moore at the Van Cleef & Arpels party and mingled with the music crowd at Fashion Rocks.

    3. Joy Bryant

Joy Bryant struck a pose on Miss Sixty's mod yellow-and-brown geometric runway, which set the tone for the line's playful Spring 2008 collection. The actress gave a nod to the '80s with her black off-the-shoulder top and cropped leggings.

    4. Teri Hatcher

"This is fascinating to me. I've never seen anything like this. I'm a little bit shell-shocked," said Teri Hatcher at Badgley Mischka. The show was a first for Hatcher, who is the new face of the line's sexy campaign. The Desperate Housewife brought her main man—at least when it comes to getting ready—stylist Vincent Boucher, who said he chooses dresses to show off his client's legs, which are "miles and miles long."

    Sophia Bush and Brittany Snow

Sophia Bush took in the style scene with Brittany Snow at the Lela Rose show in The Salon at Bryant Park. The budding fashionistas did their front row duty in feminine looks from the Texas designer's line.

    7. Mariska Hargitay

Lela Rose described her feminine collection as "Katharine Hepburn meets Audrey." In her front row seat, Mariska Hargitay did both fashion icons proud in a figure-hugging dress with a square neckline.

    8. Jaime King and Pierre Morisset

With rockers like Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon (not pictured) and models like Jaime King, the G-Star show was the perfect prelude to the Fashion Rocks event held that evening. G-Star's designer Pierre Morisset sent his models down the runway wearing dramatic pieces in basic black and white.

    9. Wilmer Valderrama, Chace Crawford and JC Chasez

Now that he's added the title of designer to his resume (his Calavena line recently launched), Wilmer Valderrama admitted that he has a new perspective on fashion week. "I'm definitely seeing things in a different way now," said Valderrama, who mingled with Chace Crawford and JC Chasez during the G-Star after-party at the Gramercy Park hotel. "It's just so cool to walk into Saks and see something you designed hanging on the racks."

    10. Pete Wentz

While Pete Wentz was spotted at Macy's Herald Square, he wasn't on a shopping trip. The Fall Out Boy bassist appeared at the famed department store to launch his Clandestine Industries limited jean collection for DKNY.
