In search of a cocktail dress for a friend's wedding...any suggestions?

I'm having quite a hard time looking for a cute cocktail dress to wear to a wedding.

I like anything above the knee, any open neck styles (strapless, one shoulder) and light flirty materials (chiffon, silk, anything that keeps you cool...). I like bright colors but not borderline tacky or 80s. I wouldn't mind simple black and white either. Just something catchy, modern, and bright.

You gals have any suggestions? Thanks!!!:yahoo:

Omg.... U gals have such great taste!! My budget is under $500. This is a tradition Asian wedding so lots of old fashioned people. Can't show too much skin which is the dilema. The bride is an long time close friend from kindergarten (rivalrous and competitive). It's a night wedding and I'm 25 years old in case anyone is wondering. :smile:

Ick! Having just been to a traditional Asian wedding myself, I would opt for something understated but well cut, and not too tight. The Robert Rodriguez dress is $495.

The DVF dress looks very pretty indeed! I've been wearing a lot of green lately as well. Love everything DVF!!!
