Impulse buyer vs. Long study?

I don't think I've ever made an impulse purchase on a handbag, come to think of it. Even if I really want it, I'll still wait a month or two to make sure it's not a passing feeling.
I really, really try to adhere to my 24 hour rule and see how I feel about that very same bag in 24 hours, and if I like it.....hopefully it will still be there.:P

i've done both  the only impulse i've ever returned was a marc jacobs stam.. i stalked it endlessly , bought it and just didn't love it as much as i thought i would.. haven;t returned any impulse buys tho!

I think we have to get OVER the feeling that we are under pressure to buy a bag because it will disappear! Heck, there are bags and bags and bags. You will ALWAYS find the bag you want.

I impulse buy with a stalker mentality.
Especially at the outlet stores.... I just hone in on what qualities I'm looking for and *bam* it's a done deal.

But generally I'm a long study with more expensive bags (not necessarily designer).

I'm an impulse buyer. I buy what I like but then go through a should I keep it process. I try it on with several outfits, try it on my shoulder, put my stuff in it to see how heavy it is, etc. I make sure to buy at places with good return policies in case it's not for me.

I also do a lot of online shopping since a lot of the brands I like are sold locally in shops with horrible return policies, high traffic areas, etc.

Maybe it's because I've been through graduate school, but I always research before I make an expensive purchase (my friends complain that I don't ever buy anythign when we go shopping!). In addition to saving money, I admit, I just like the anticipation that builds as I wait for the best moment to buy the item I really want!
