I have similar issue on a birkin of mine. It came from the store directly. so your not the only one![]()
Scgian, your post reminds me of why machine-produced (rather than handmade) Oriental Carpets can look a bit "off" if they were not programmed to make the occasional "mistake." While I'm not glorifying the irregular stitching you've noticed on your beautiful new Kelly28, it certainly underscores that yours is a handmade bag. I hope you can make peace with it and appreciate that a person and not a machine made this treasure for you.
While stitching inconsistencies can be frustrating given the price point, it can happen. I’m a bit more concerned by what appears to be a series of small holes in the leather near the edge coat. I’m not sure if it’s as visible in person though.View attachment 5689274
I've just picked up my new Kelly seller and it has very irregular stitching all over. Thicker versus thinner, longer versus shorter stitching... but I think it is all part of the beauty of them being handmade.
I don't have anything to add beyond what others have said already, but it's obviously more noticeable on Etoupe with such high-contrast stitching.
Not a clue but nobody else seemed to notice it so maybe it’s just my OCD. At first I thought it might just be the grain of the leather but since I’m not handling the leather in person, it’s hard to tell.Oh dear. I just realised it! Why do you think that is?![]()
Pretty sure the same artist made my etoupe mini Lindy. Look at this short stitch out of nowhere lolHi. I got myself a Kelly 28 sellier a few days back. I just noticed slightly crooked stitching particularly at the bottom of the bag. The stitching on the second pic also looks pretty uneven to me, with a few stitches looking thicker compared to the rest. Is this normal?
