Hi guys  I placed an order and received an email that it has shipped out. Now at checkout placing the order I put my friend's name and work address where to be delivered , since I won't be home to sign for the package.
Under the email after I placed the order it does show the correct name and address to be delivered.
And when I got the email that it has shipped out they also send me a copy of receipt but on that receipt it has my name instead of her name with her work address.
I called LV customer service and they said that they could not modify it , that she could still sign for it.
Has this happen to anyone? Could it be possible that on the package it will have her name with her work address?
I have had LV package delivered to the same person and same address before.

You should be fine. I always have mine mailed to my house with my name, but my fiance is the one to sign for it since he's working from home but I'm not.
On a second thought, since it's mailed to her work, she might need to let the front desk person know that there will be a package for her that's under a different name. So she/he won't turn the package away.

My understanding is that you are having it delivered to different name and address. Did customer service confirm that it was going to her? I understand that they can't modify but they should be able to tell you where it's being shipped. If it's coming to you then I know it's a major hassle but maybe you can intercept via UPS and have it sent to one of their pick up locations?

The receipt probably has your name because you paid using your information and not your friends. She should still be able to sign for it, but as others have said, UPS doesn't even take signatures right now. My last package from LV, the UPS driver left it at the door, rang the doorbell, and (depending on the person) waits until someone opens the door so they can confirm delivery. Also, if it's delivered to her work, then it's likely the front desk will sign for it. When I ship things to my work, I never sign for anything - the person at the front takes all packages and then sends emails to recipients to come pick it up at the front.

I wouldn't worry. We're no longer able to have personal deliveries go to our office anymore, but our loading dock employees always signed for incoming packages for the whole building of 1000 people, never had an issue with them refusing to deliver to a business because the person who the package isn't intended for isn't the person signing for it.

The package will get to your friend’s office no problem. The only issue is that there is no one who works there with <your> name. So, I would ask your friend to give the mail room a heads up the day the package is delivered. That the package addressed to <you> is actually hers.

ETA it’s not an issue of whether the package will get signed for- it will. It’s what her company mail room is going to do with it when they try to distribute the package
