I'm such an idiot about cat food! and question on dry/wet.

I agree about the content being better in higher priced foods. It's the same w/ dog food. I think some of the higher priced food must taste better too b/c of less fillers (I did a blind taste test w/ 4 types of food for the dog when he started to get picky and he picked a premium food) I have a 6 yr old cat and she eats Science Diet dry food. That's what she has ate since day 1 when I adopted her. She is FAT and loves wet food, but I only feed it as a treat. The vet said what she is eating is fine and actually advised against feeding her a lot of wet food due to weight gain. W/ other cats, vets have always told me to give wet food as a treat only as well and that the majority of the diet should be dry food.

Berry, I don't know if that helped at all, sorry!
