I should be going for good deals on designer bags? I normally just do the usual stores but wondered if there was any hints and tips of good places for deals anyone could give?

Last time I was in NY my sister and I found Century21 (not the real estate co). They had great deals on MJ purses & various designer shoes. The store is huge so you definitely need a few hours to browse. It was a couple of years ago, but still perhaps worth checking out.

If you have transportation, there is a huge, terrific outlet center about 45 minutes north of Manhattan called Woodbury Commons. They have EVERYTHING.....Gucci, Prada,Tod's, Judith Leiber, Chanel, Coach, Cole Haan...the list goes on.
