Hi everyone! I have been lurking here for a year or so and you all have excellent taste and advice. I am a complete handbag addict - remind me one day to tell you all about the "brown/black" arguement with my husband over my latest Prada a few years back!

Anyway, I want a new bag NOW and at a loss as to what to get. Do I go Balenciaga and if so, which one? Do I go Kooba?

Please help me decide!!

Looking forward to getting to know all of you, and thanks in advance for the help!

Are you looking for a shoulder bag? A dressier bag or a more casual one? Color preferences? Size preferences?

As a new lover of Balenciaga bags, I'd choose a Bbag in a heartbeat. I think they are versatile (can dress up or down) and come in a wide range of colors. But Kooba has some cute bags too...just depends on how you plan to wear it and use it.

A Balenciaga motorcycle bag is a great addition to any collection IMO. If you like to carry satchels the City is a great bag. (It also comes with a shoulder strap.) If you prefer shoulder bags though I'd recommend the Purse style. There are so many wonderful colors to choose from. That will be your hardest decision. Let us know what you decide to get.

Thanks everyone! I guess I should have been more specific. I have enough LV to last a lifetime - or at least through this season :graucho:

I am leaning towards Kooba right now, mainly because I have been wanting one for a while. I don't know what styles are best though. I love that Paige bag that someone posted about, but I want one NOW and don't want to wait until Fall.

I want something in a brown similar to the Balenciaga caramel that I showed above. I wear a lot of those tones and they seem to work well with everything I own.

I also have a bunch of Tylie Malibu bags - I kind of like that laid back California feel.

Thanks again for all the input - any Kooba specialists out there feel free to offer up your suggestions!

I have the Kooba Sienna in Cream and the leather is awesome. It's a heavy bag though, nice and big, holds a TON of stuff, has a great casual feel about it, which I think is nice for summer. Kooba has some really cute styles. good luck on your decision.

What about a Sienna in cognac or desert? There's a sale on shoppingallure/jcmadison for the Sienna in desert. It's made of very nice lambskin. Good luck on finding your next baby!!

I just got my Kooba Sienna in desert today and WOW i am in LOVE :heart: :heart: :heart: . Size is great, love the style and it fits perfectly on me. It looks even better IRL than in the pictures, trust me!! It has a nice 'heft' feel to it without being overwhelming in size or weight.

I think we'll have many happy years together :biggrin: :biggrin:
