Oh dear.... I've fallen out of love for this baby already...

Lilach: thanks for the invaluable info!

Any suggestions on the similar watch sans-diamonds...?? 50K is way over my budget.
I love Rolex cos it's classic ( even some call it old school!), and my budget is around 5k only.

I like everything about that watch! But, sadly, I could never afford it. I did look at a Lady Date Just with diamond makers and MOP face that was about $7,000. I could be happy with that one too, but my DH still needs to be convinced.

that sounds much better...now to think of an occasion I could buy it for and justify the expense to myself...:graucho:

lilach --are you in the market for a new watch:graucho:, are you also an Rolex expert (as well as an H expert)?

 nah not really i am not hunting at the moment i just happen to have a catalogue of rolex flying around so i quickly checked and i am by nor means a rolex expert (nor an h expert but i know more about h than about rolex i have to admit ) i just like to be informed when making purchases and then of course share my experiences and knowledge :flowers:

Lilach, you are always a great source of knowledge:heart:

I know here in the UK that ones about 12/13 k.Gosh you certainly go for the top drawer models!!!

Quick hint, anything with the President bracelet as the one in your last link, they are always precious metal watches, and the price is quite hefty!!

But keep looking!! I'm enjoying what you are looking at!!

If you're not opposed to buying used, you might want to check out portero.com. They have a lot of Rolex's up for auction there. I haven't deal with them, but have visited their site a few times and they have some gorgeous watches. They have a nice browsing filter too, which allows you to put in a brand, price range, condition, etc. Here's a sample of what I found:

thanks for helping out girls! I am looking for a brand new watch, but since the price is over the rooftop, I have to think again and probably look for other alternatives. DH says Omega design is not bad though, and price is quite reasonable.

Tell me girls, should i save and get the rolex later or just be happy with a 'moderate' Omega??
