Hi all, I'm just really sad right now. Last night I noticed my cat of 12 years was not acting himself. When I checked on him closely, I noticed that he couldn't move his legs and he was tilting his head and was shaking. He finally tried to get up but really couldn't use his legs. So this morning I took him to the vet, and the vet checked him and said that he had a stroke (an embolism had blocked circulation to his legs and now it's moving to his head). The vet said there was nothing we could do as he has no more pulse in his legs. I was in tears. I didn't want to see my cat in pain but didn't want to lose him either. So in the end I had to make a very difficult decision to put him to sleep. I'm really grieving right now. I hope I made the right decision. Maybe I should have gotten a second opinion. I've attached a picture of him. I miss him so much. He's such a sweet cat.
