I am trying to be oh so good because I am planning to head to the UK for a hairdressing class this summer.
But in a hypothetical world..I am jonesing big time for a white bag. In torn between these two.
If you HAD to chose tpf-ers, which one would you go for?

The pros for the Cassie are it is less expensive
I can customize it
I can remove the strap and I LOVE switching out my bag straps.
I have a store credit to Coach
Cons: not sure I'm against about the pebbled leather
And I really dont love the C clasp and may change it out which is scary on a somewhat F.P. bag (unless we get a sale)

Pros for the Demellier:
The company is steeped in philanthropy.
White croc:heart:
I own this exact bag in black and have been obsessed with it
Perfect size

Cons:
Pricey i.e. almost 200 washingtons more than the Coach even with the customization (however that includes VAT and shipping)
Hardware scratches easily
Strap is not removable

I'm having the same dilemma. I love the look of the Vancouver but have no real life experience with the brand, the leather or how the bag functions. No stores near me to check it out. I don't own a Cassie and it's not my favorite when comparing the two but I like that the strap is removable and the price point. Not a fan of the c turnlock. If I had to choose based only on design/style I would pick the Vancouver.

I own a Vancouver and really love it. DeMellier does have great CS. Shipping and VAT are also included which is why their price point is so much higher and if you DO need to return, you pay nothing as long as your purchase was over a certain amount. So that works well in their favor. Like I said my only gripe is with all that added in it adds to the cost of the bag.
Also owning 3 Demellier bags, I know their hardware is very easily scratched. That is probably my only other Con to them...and it is something that is easily fixable (I read you can place clear phone screen protectors over the hardware)
I did go to DeMellier's showroom/store last year. It was tiny, but it allowed me to see the bags in person. Also, some stores carry them here in the US and offer return shipping, but the price point is the same.

Cassie, the other bag is so boring. I had the regular Cassie and it was so heavy, but I think the smaller one should be okay. The best thing about Cassie is how you can customize it and give it so much personality, and make it unique. You can't do much with the other one.

If I were you, I'd go with the second bag. If you already own it in black and are totally in love with many aspects of it, you know you'll like the white one, too. I think if you bought the Cassie you might regret it, going off of what you've said, even though it's cheaper and you can change the strap out.

I have the Cassie in chalk and I’m obsessed with it. I didn’t do anything to customize other than my initials on the hang tag because I personally think it’s so pretty just the way it is. My fiancé who doesn’t really care about fashion or purses says “I love that bag” every time I wear it.
