If you buy a bag online can you return it to a boutique?

I've never bought a LV online (at the official site), but have been thinking about it since it's so much easier than fighting traffic to go downtown. My question is, if a bag is bought online and there is an issue, is it easy to return it to the boutique or do you have to ship it back?

Before I brought my rayures Isolite wallet online, I checked with my local LV store manager if I didnt like it, I could bring in the store to return. I ended up kept it so did not go thru the return excises.

You can but it has to be a stand alone LV, it can't be inside a Saks, Neimans, etc...

That's what I figured, which is fine. Both of the stand-alone LV are on the other side of the city, which can be a painful drive. I already know what I want so it'd be easier to just order it online.
