Identify this leather..

I'm going to SO a black 35 birkin with GHW.
But..togo is too slouchy..box is too formal for my lifestyle..I don't like slouchy birkins but I don't want something that I have to be to OCD about..what are your recommendations?

Does Fjord always have veining?

Chevre if you are ok with the spine. Fjord if you want a more matte look. Sometimes there is deep Beijing sometimes there is very little. Epsom for the most carefree.

I almost forgot about Chevre. I own a 35 chevre birkin and love it--lightweight, and durable.

As for fjord, I don't believe it always has veining. Much like togo in that respect.

Since you are getting the bag SO'ed, Chevre would be the way to go. It's not slouchy, light and hassle-free. Great work horse!

There are quite a few options, epsom, VL, Chevre and Fjord would all be lovely options, I would suggest taking a close look at the leathers here and also in the leather book instore to get a feel for what the bag would look and behave like.
