There are colloquial names for some bags because the name itself sometimes doesn't seem to describe the bag. For instance, "Bondage" seems a lot more descriptive of the features of the bag than "The Latest Blonde". I only remembered because I have been a Dior Addict for years and I saw this bag during its release and knew what the brand named it.

I love your sharing your vast knowledge on Dior! As soon as you know the name it really starts to tell visual stories!
I just ordered a book on Galliano´s complete work and now am looking forward very much to seeing more of this collection.
Fancy a laugh? Typing "Dior Bondage" into google (at least google Germany) without mentioning "bag" proved to be a mistake. The very graphic pictures of some porn star that came up made me gasp.

Sorry I don't think we can help you here either. Dior's bag lines didn't get "famous" until the Lady Dior and then the Galliano designs. This particular bag was from before that time so it's difficult to know its name and the year it was produced.

Sorry I missed this post!

This is the Dior doctor bag which was loosely part of the Dior Detective line (it isn't directly, but it was produced around that time along with a number of other frame bags, with the Dior Detective style with its two pockets at the front being the most recognizable).

Thank-you very much @averagejoe ! The listing has ended now, but next time I spot one of them I might have a closer look. The bag appealed to me asIlove the doctor bag style, but next to the real detective model it would look rather random, I guess. Have a lovely week-end!

Hello there, I want to list this canvas bag for sale but i dont have any info about it except that i bought it in 2006 in the Dior boutique in dubai. It is the first time ever i am putting a bag for sale, so if anybody has an idea about the price range i should expect, it will be very helpful. This bag belongs to the Dior Vintage Traveller collection, and I've seen it sell on Ebay for anywhere between $130USD to $200USD. It may sell for more now because this features the navy Oblique pattern which is emphasized in Dior right now.

Information about when this bag was made is difficult because Dior had so many different styles back then and didn't have date codes in their bags. This style also wasn't famous so it's harder to identify the name of the style and its price back then.
