It's Kerala bag. it depends what do you mean by investing - you will hardly be able to resell it for the price, but if you want a great bag hat will last that will do.
ETA it should come with two charms - horse and something else. if they are missing it should be reflected in the price.

Thanks Gems! I meant investigate- buy and get it authenticated. It was only $4.97, but I didn't want to go to a lot of trouble if it was instantly recognizable asa a fake, kwim?

Sorry, Beccabaglady I misread your post. you will need more photos to post in authenticating thread. Personally I haven't seen this style IRL, I can't advise on it.
