Ideas for a LV summer bag! What do you use?

Happy weekend all my lovely tpf friends!

Just wanted to get your opinion and suggests on what LV bag you use during spring/summer. Is it different to your usual collection? Do you use more colourful bags?

Currently in my bag collection are all mono and DE bags, except a black heart bag and with summer approaching I wanted to venture out a bit and buy a colour or different type of LV bag for spring summer here. Something that would be pretty and cheerful to look at and use and special! I could use my mono and DE bags but thought maybe a colour would be nice to add to my collection.

I’ve been currently looking at the alma bb azur, nano speedy pink stardust, psp colour in epi, alma bb epi colour. What are your thoughts and if you have these bags how do you find them? Would you recommend them? Are they great bags to use especially during spring summer? If you would recommend something else I would love to hear it.

I know LV released sunrise pastel and stardust this summer but it was winter here so at the time I wasn’t interested and also worried abt colour transfer, but now that spring summer is approaching where I am, I thought it would be nice to treat myself to something pretty!

I love my stardust items…I vote for the nano speedy if they size works for you..I get so many compliments on the stardust sunrise items. We’re you still thinking of the psp in sunrise pastel?

Yes I still like the psp but I’ve definitely missed that boat hehehe maybe even missed the stardust too! Will go into store next week to see if the nano speedy size will work for me. Have you had any issues with colour transfer or the leather being too delicate? From the images I’ve seen the embossing on the stardust items are amazing and so deep. They look stunning!

Hi Bumbles, I am using my neverfull damier azur during summer. That is my one and only DA bag. I cinch to make it smaller. I still rotate with other bag. Summer is where I can wear my Gorman dress in every occasion. So yeah, I tend to use bright color bag to match.
Between 2 bags on your post, I will choose alma azur. I am not a fan of stardust collection. Good luck on deciding.

I’m mainly loving and enjoying my cream Easy Pouch and Stardust Nano Speedy during the summer If the weather is rainy I grab for my leather Felicie or Escale Double Zip!

Between your options I would not recommend the PSP because of the open top and it flips/flops a bit around while wearing crossbody. I only use my PSP on special occasions and prefer it top handle! The Alma I also don’t really like crossbody, only top handle but that’s personal ofcourse!

Nano Speedy is a perfect crossbody companion to me checks all the boxes for a perfect nano bag: strap length is adjustable, has a zipper to secure items and surprisingly roomy for a tiny bag!

Thanks balen.girl! Can I ask how come you don’t like stardust? Also how are you enjoying your nano speedy mono new version? Would you recommend it? Do you still have a use for it as you also have the speedy 20? I guess their 2 different sizes so can use it differently. You’re LV collection has been growing nicely this past year and no longer difficult to get the bags you like. So happy for you!

For stardust, I only like the blue version. The rest of the color is just to “pearly” to me, which I never like this kind of color in anything (bag or slg or else).. I hope you understand what I mean. Like changing color with sheen ? Pardon me, this is hard to explain..
And the sad part for me is speedy nano only comes in 1 color, which I don’t like at all. Sorry Bumbles…
In terms of the bag design, speedy nano is cuter than alma bb. If both in regular canvas. I will choose speedy nano.

I've been using my Alma bb in Epi leather color quartz. I think it's perfect summer bag! I compared it with azur when I'm buying this bag, I think epi leather looks much more prettier for this bag.

No color transfer issues and I do wear darker colors but I won’t use them in the rain just in case…and I do think the leather is thick not delicate but I wouldn’t be banging it against walls. The embossing is deep and consistent which is nice Unlike some of the empreinte items. I would get the nano if you like it!

That’s a very tough decision to make, but also exciting to chose a new summer bag! I think it’s always best going to the store and trying the bags on in person.
I love all Almas, it’s such a classic and iconic bag, but not always practical or comfortable to wear. So it depends.
If you like the Nano Speedy what about the new bicolour ones (black cream and caramel cream) that just came out? I think they are gorgeous but of course the logos are very big.
Like @balen.girl I am not a fan of the Stardust collection because of the pearly effect. But if you like it why not go for it. The shape of the nano Speedy is so cute!
Have you considered the Felicie or DZP in the Spring in the City Empreinte? Those are limited edition too and very summer-y but small of course.

Oh and I forgot, I read that a new bicolour Empreinte is coming out in light coral pink/cream, maybe that would also be an option
