For those who have purchased a Kalahari...Could you please advise if it was manufactured in France or Italy....I have received mixed feedback regarding runway pieces. Some suggests such items are manufactured exclusively in France....others indicate Italy as a possible location....Please HELP if you can....
I am trying to purchase one. Ebay scares me and I have find two on two other websites...Great Reviews and I am interested in purchasing it. However, for that type of money, I want to make sure it is not fake. I have call the LV stores tons of times and received conflicting information. Some indicate, the Kalahari bag was produced soles in France and others at the store and 800 number, indicate production occurred in both France and Italy. The two website, has two manufactured in France and the other site has one from Italy....I trust the site...but just double checking before spending 3 grand.
If you're purchasing new, the only place to go through is LV directly - you could try calling about until you find a store that has the bag. If you're purchasing gently used, make sure to have it authenticated first - just because the location on the heat stamp is where the bag was manufactured, doesn't mean it's authentic.
