Hi I am new and here to learn about restoring vintage bags, Dooney & Bourke primarily. I have bags that need the piping color to be restored, the edges where the brand color (green, red white, black, etc) has rubbed off, and other issues, but lets start there. I know that one is one not supposed to put conditioner on the all weather but am I right to clean that only with saddle soap? I also have a few bags missing their crossbody straps and all I could find on Ebay cost more than the price I paid for the bag!

Hello and welcome, we have a Rehab thread in the Dooney & Bourke forum here: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/dooney-rehab-thread.811268/page-9

There's also a huge Vintage Dooney & Bourke thread here: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/vintage-dooney-bourke.656798/page-84#post-31991363

Good luck with the rehab.
