Hello everyone. First of all, I would like to thank team of Great Authenticators Authenticate4u. I would like to share my experience with forum, so maybe some ladies/gentlemen avoid my mistakes.
Back in November I bought a new model LV Alma BB neo on EBay. I really liked the bag and at that time it was sold out online, so I found it on EBay for almost same price, but I decided to get it anyway as a Christmas present.
My Biggest mistake was that I PAID with PayPal balance, and not with my credit/debit card!!!!
I was at risk of loosing my funds and getting STUCK with a FAKE bag!!!
It looked authentic on a pictures and the seller had 100% feedback. Again, the bag just came out in November and it’s a new model, not a lot of authenticators are familiar with this particular model yet. I received the bag, opened it and it looked okay, and I was thinking it looks pretty real until I looked on details like zipper area etc. I decided to contact Authenticate4u to make sure I purchased a real bag. After one week of studying the pictures, they told me it’s not authentic. I contacted 4 (!!!) more Authenticators and they told me it’s an REAL (!!!) bag. I don’t want to mention these Authenticators by name... As for me I was not 100% convinced that the bag is fake, but I was very suspicious. I even went to LV store to look at the real bag myself... it looked slightly different...
Authenticate4u team explained why they were convinced that the bag is fake, they sent me some of the pictures where they had authentic bag vs my bag. I have seen the difference and became 100% convinced that my bag is fake. It was a very good fake in my opinion. At the same time I opened and lost the case with PayPal. It turned out that seller showed gift receipt (which doesn’t proof anything). I also found out that seller released exactly the same bag for sale after I bought and received my bag and left her a positive feedback. I started to ask seller questions and she told me she wouldn’t take the bag back and refund the money. She send me a picture of the receipt of the similar bag, but was different size. I told her that she showed me a receipt with different bag. Then, she send me a picture of the gift receipt of the bag I bought... I asked her to mail me a receipt so I could go to the boutique with it, but she declined. She was trying to convince me that she sells brand new bags on EBay, because she has a lot of store credit money... nonsense...I couldn’t open the return with EBay for some reason (my item was deleted for some reasons). I needed to appeal with PayPal again. I prepared for a fight with them again and... won this time. I have seen exactly the same bag/ and few more LV neverful mm, Alma bb neo noir and Chanel double flap... that this scammer trying to sell and she sold few of them on EBay and Poshmark (she tries to convince people to buy offsite)...
I wanted to share my experience with you guys to avoid my mistakes and authenticate the bag before you buy, and always pay with a credit card, so you could dispute it if PayPal/ EBay or any other company decides the case not in your favor.
As for me, I would like to thank Authenticate4u team (Lesley, Kat, Angelica, Emilia), I really appreciate your help and hard work that you did for me. I TRULY appreciate everything you did for me. If it’s not for you, I would’ve been stuck with a fake bag now... and possibly without even slightest idea that it’s fake... because that bag is a very good and expensive fake...
Thank you guys! You are the best!
PS: I got a refund and got LV Alma BB neo noir in a boutique. I am really happy it’ over.

Wow! Glad you got your funds back and ended with one from the boutique. Would you mind sharing the name of the scammer? It sounds like she works across many platforms and you could potentially help a lot of people from getting ripped off.

Is this the same bag that came with an authentication certificate from RA?

If it was, I'm glad I passed on it (some for those very reasons & a new piece) & I'm still trying to catch up with new released pieces that I need to add to my own personal data base. I just haven't had the time & it's tedious & time consuming.

JMHO - I wouldn't trust Real Authentication (they also joined this Forum:blah:) to authenticate a paper bag! I've personally noticed & seen they have been making mistake's across the board with so many different brands.

Lucky you that they identified the bag and you got your money back! [emoji5]
I wanted to authenticate once with authenticate4u, they took my money, but I got never an answer. I then authenticated with Sabina Lynn (sabinascloset) And she was great!
I had a piece authenticated by them. They took a while to respond to me and their answers were curt. I won't be using their service again.

I'm not surprised.

Unfortunately it is Hit & Miss with them when it come's to trying to get a reply / response. Some get replies within the time frame & others are just left hanging. Then you have Some that have to Join FB or Similar & chase them for your authentication! That's why (and I also have other reasons) I personally don't recommend them.

Not only they authenticate the bag... 4 other authenticators made mistake and thought the bag was genuine.... sometime they have a glitch in a system

I'm not surprised.

Who do you recommend? I am just wondering... I used 4 other authenticators who missed this Fake...

I am just sharing my experience. I use their services occasionally and I know some people had some problems with the service and late responds, Authenticate4u has some problems just like any other business... if you own your own business, you understand what I am referring to. They could take long time to respond, I have been through that as well. But!!! I am talking about their knowledge and expertise. As I said, I contacted 5 authenticators total, only A4u spotted the fake. We are not talking about time frame of their services... I am just really glad I “met” them ...

Yes, yes, and yes! It’s really scary to buy online nowadays from the sites without 100% refund policy in place. I ended up getting my money back and buying LV Alma bb neo noir from the boutique. I am overseas now on vacation in Eastern Europe, we are still in a holiday mood here, here is my beauty:)
I LOVE the bag [emoji173]️

@Mrsassi, can you please post the eBay seller’s ID? If not in the LV forum, there is a thread in the eBay forum, thanks!

I recently used ProAuthenticators and Authenticate4U for a Soufflot bag and its accessory pouch, purchased from eastvaleluxe (ebay Authenticate seller). It’s a long story as to why I had to authenticate my item (if interested, check out my thread in the eBay forum), but both authenticators deemed the bag and pouch authentic. I was surprised with how quickly ProAuthenticators responded (it was almost too quick). Kat from A4U also responded within a reasonable timeframe via FB messenger, but I’m still waiting for them to send the pdf.

I have sent you a message. Kat is great. Sometimes PDF takes a while, what matters is she said it’s Authentic [emoji106]

Hello!
Thank you for sharing your experience with the community! Would you please be so kind to share with us who the 4 other companies were that got the authentication wrong? It would be lovely for us to know whose services we should and and shouldn’t seek. Thank you so much in advance
