I would like to buy an Hermes Birkin. What should I do?

Okay, so I have no time for a waiting list, all I know is I'd like a "Gold" colored Birkin. I'm willing to pay around $8,500 maybe a bit more but no less that $10,000. I don't want any ostrich skin (I detest that type) or alligator leather (too scaly). So what should I do? I'm am SCARED to buy online, I've read many posts of people being scammed into buying bags which cost them ~$7,000 and turned out to be VERY good fakes. So I'd like to buy it from a store. But I have no time for a waiting list etc. I want to walk into the store and leave with a birkin. Is this possible?

(PS, I know I'm a guy, but I just really would like this as my beach bag)

The price for a Birkin 35 in Togo or clemence is $ 9350 + sales tax if you buy from boutique. That is the price that you will be paying from boutique, so if you have budget less than that, perhaps you can try several recommended ebay resellers who sells pre-owned birkins. Good luck

With your budget, the only place you can walk out with a Birkin is perhaps in Europe. Store price is already higher than what you have budgeted in the US and elsewhere.

And yes, you can walk out of the store with a Birkin. Depends a lot on luck.

if you are looking for a birkin 50, then the price in Europe is Euro 7000 - 10% VAT. a birkin 40 is about Euro 6420. so might be close to your budget.

you can also get a pre-loved HAC40 in toile/leather for about USD 4200! there is a reputable seller in the US selling such an item on her website.

the color may be what you are looking for and the toile makes it suitable as a summer beach bag!

The Birkin 50 is 7300 euros before detaxe. Just got the exact price from my SA :smile1:

Where are you based? I know the Cannes store has a few 50 birkins....summer colours too, not too sure about gold though, you'll have to check with them. I was there just last weekend and they definitly had at least three in stock! Good luck!

Oh my god...... Click!!! Please enlighten me. I am totally not good at it. I have friends told me that they shut you out if you don't already know SA.
In fact, I could go to either store. Am I hearing it correctly that they have 35 TOGO available at the store?

this is a fairly plentiful color as it is ordered as stock for the stores. i dont know that they have any for an absolute fact but I would bet that they do---if you go and you seem normal and polite and perhaps select something small to purchase and then ask about the birkin you want --they will either produce it or you ask for a call when it is available.
