Anesthesia awareness, also referred to as accidental awareness during general anaesthesia(AAGA) or unintended intra-operative awareness, is a potential complication occurring during general anesthesia where the intended state of complete unconsciousness is not maintained throughout the whole procedure.
Does anyone have this? Cause during my 7 hour long surgery I woke up while he was cutting my face? Lol. I mean it was painless but yet it felt really awesome.. but yet scaring! I was awake for 5 mins? And went back to sleep.

I did my Chin nose and thigh.
Even though my Chin is pulled back.
I cried happily when i realized how normal I look now.HOWEVER I look really weird from the front. Ive been really worried about my front view tho. But everyone been telling me it’s only the first week.. fc usually takes a few months to recover. So nervous ..
What do u guys think?
Ps: I won’t disclose the clinic yet!

This is anesthesiologist mistake
nope. Everyone's body can have the potential to have unique reactions to the anesthesia. Not the mistake of the anaesthesiologist. The fact that she went back to sleep means the anaesthesiologist was doing his / her job, which is noticing the patient is awake and readministered a very slight increase of dosage to put her back under

I like it. It looks subtle & natural.

GEE! Do you know that people die because of this kind of mistakes! which clinic did you go to? I just want to make sure never ever go there! The anesthesiologist should always be there during the surgery! it's their JOB! and what if you woke up and felt pain? You could've die from pain shock! and thanks GOD you are all right! and there's nothing cool in your situation!!! WHICH CLINIC DID YOU GO TO???

The fact that she went back to sleep and felt no pain means that there was someone monitoring her anesthesia. Obviously it is not exactly ideal that she woke up for a couple minutes but it wasn't exactly the grave medical failure that you're making it out to be.

I guess it was not your case, but there are surgeries when you have to wake up during it, so they can check if your nerves work properly. Usually it happens at eye surgeries, you are woken up for a couple of minutes and then go back to sleep.
And it is something that it happens normally when you have a deep-sleep anesthesia. If you had your chin done, I guess you were under general anesthesia through... Anyway, it's bad that you were not informed before the surgery about it..

The fact is that she WOKE UP and remembers it when she wasn't supposed to! And how comes that not ideal now considered to be "waking up for a couple minutes"?? while not ideal is, Obviously, when you wake up from anesthesia and feel brutal, when head is aching like hell

Why people acting like the fact she woke up during surgery is normal lol
I have never heard of that in my own country and for me it’s a mistake from the clinic
Korea is not good about anesthesia
I had terrible nightmares after my own and I felt sick during weeks

What do you mean "feel brutal"? She literally said in her post that she felt no pain.
