their website!! Especially the Coachoutlet.com site. I went on there this a.m. looking for a wallet. I had something specific in mind and found one but all they showed is the outside of the wallet! Yes, there is a description but I'm visual and need to see the specific layout....so I ended up going over to ebay to find the wallet and luckily was able to do so to figure out it's just the style I'm looking for.

Coach, please make it easier for your customers to shop your website and provide more pictures! Crazy to make your customers jump through hoops just to purchase your items:tdown::nogood:

Agree on the handles. Those & the longer strap should be the same color (i.e. some are the leather color on the part that shows & black on the other side).
And most of all...an outside pocket! Please oh please...I'd be grateful for even a zip or slip pocket for just my phone...

Didn't mean to post something like this to bash Coach in general because for the most part I'm quite happy with all the products I've purchased from them....this was more directed to their website and specifically their coachoutlet.com site. There's a dearth of photos that are badly needed!

Agree they don't have enough detailed pictures. If your stuck with online only makes it difficult and like you said a hunting expedition to find the details you need to make a decision. ;)

Thanks for your understanding, we don't all have access to a full line store or even a Factory store so it's makes it that much harder! The Coach website can be an enigma. Maybe that's why they have so many returns?
Makes sense to me. If items have numerous photos and required dimensions then someone like me who is looking for something specific can make an informed decision instead of a mistake because we have to "assume" something from a photo/description.
It should be a lot easier to shop online!

I most definitely think it has a role in the returns/exchanges they get! Even on the Boutique site they have inaccurate info, my new bag(the Chelsea) has multi function pockets listed as an interior description however they don't exist! It only has a singular zippered pocket, i am fortunate i bought in store so could see what it did/didn't have but if your online only shopper?

Right there that could cause a return, even if they put info it's not always something you can rely on. They need to get their act together!

Thx, totally agree that they need to get their act together. Online buying is huge these days and I just don't understand websites that don't include what they should. No excuse for it and it has to hurt their sales in the long run as well as turning people away from the brand.

A lot of their wallets on their website are missing interior and back photos. It's not just Coach, it's a lot of retailers. I am not sure who is supplying the photos--the factories where they are produced or someone working directly in the company.

Either way, it's a very poor practice in an internet age. There are also broken images on their websites for certain New Arrivals. I feel nitpicky to go over these items, but I have had to oversee new product releases and these are things that you double-check when the product goes live with inventory.

I think general retail standards have decreased and mentioning any faults makes one seem "high maintenance" when it really is basic.

So true what you said....especially in this day and time of almost everyone shopping online!!

Yes this! How can you decide if it's a wallet you want if you can't see the interior and how it's organized?

Not rocket science here but I would hope that a vendor would want to show off their wares rather than make the customer guess based on a description.

And yes, I guess I'm considered "high maintenance" for wanting to know what the inside of a wallet looks like:happydance:

What little I know about internal retail practices leads me to believe that Coach either takes product photos in house or at the very least hires a professional to do it. The lack of inside pictures is seriously embarrassing for a top selling brand. I bet their product line changes so much and so quickly that they can't or won't stay on top of it.

Ditto on the thin straps, too - I returned my small Kelsey because the strap cut into my shoulder when I put three things into the bag!

I don't know what it's worth to their corporate digital marketing and web team, but I might actually start writing in to their Customer Service if they have some comment forms on their website for this type of thing.

Good point versperholly, re: product line changes so much and so quickly.
It's still, as you say, embarrassing. And Louis Vuitton should join them. You cannot filter/sort search properly on that website and dozens of items do not have inside views for colors or modeling shots to view real-life sizing scenarios.

It may be a generational thing, but I contact customer service A LOT recently for basic things at a variety of retailers for subjects that I learned on my first two jobs I worked in high school part-time. I know many of my friends don't care and just shrug it off, but as I was telling my cousin earlier today, if Americans do not get their acts together, we will literally be a country of sloths--we do not produce and manufacture anything near our glory days and our service industry is lacking in basic customer service, most of which is becoming heavily outsourced.

If we cannot even design websites and conceive of ways to positively capture sales and engage customers, we are not going to be very competitive in anything that revolves around serving a client. /mini rant

Well said Donut but our foreign friends such as LV and Givenchy (couldn't find the bag I was looking for on that site, I kid you not!) need some help with their websites. No wonder consumers are confused and upset.
Perhaps the online component isn't as important for the luxury houses but it certainly is very important for brands such as Coach.
